Greetings in the precious name of Jesus!

We are thankful to share that July 2025 was a month of deep compassion and impact. God used your prayers and generous support to reach out to several neglected widows in the slums of Agra. Through prayer visits, essential financial help, and simple acts of kindness, we were able to remind them they are not forgotten — they are deeply loved by God and by this mission family.

Many wept with joy and gratitude, telling us they hadn’t felt cared for in years. Your involvement has truly been a lifeline of hope.

Thank you for standing with us in this mission. Your love is making a difference.

With joy in Christ,

The Jesus Mission Team

June 2025 – First milestone: permanent recognition for grades 1 to 5. https://jesusmissionusa.org/june-2025-first-milestone-permanent-recognition-for-grades-1-to-5/ Thu, 03 Jul 2025 05:16:51 +0000 https://jesusmissionusa.org/?p=1765 Dear Brothers and Sisters,
By the grace of God, I believe that you are all doing well.
Update from our country:
We would like to share with you an important update regarding our FCRA situation. Thousands of FCRA licenses across India have been cancelled or are being shut down. And the only mistake many of them made was that they served as guides and ministers to the Christian community.
FCRA stands for the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, which is the approval granted by the Government of India to receive foreign donations. This license has also been cancelled for Jesus Mission. We are not alone. Even Christian organizations that receive millions of dollars in aid have had their permissions revoked. Hundreds of orphanages have been closed.
Today, Jesus Mission is the only functioning children’s home in Agra. It is clear that the government has made it their objective to trouble Christian institutions in every way possible.
The root cause is this: the current government sees Jesus Christ as a foreign God. One political party is using religion as a powerful weapon to secure power in India from last 15 years in the centre. The ruling party is treating Christians more harshly than ever before in Indian history.
We need to think about how to bring this situation to light—how to let the world know what is happening. We must act. Because more than ever before, India needs prayer.
Among all nations, India is the one country aggressively promoting idol worship. One could say that India has become like a throne for Satan himself in today’s world.
These authorities do not accept Jesus Christ. Therefore, they oppose anything Christians do. Their belief is that if Christians are attacked financially, they will be crushed beyond recovery. That is why powerful anti-Christian groups behind the ruling party are now encouraging brutal attacks on churches and ministries.
Let us be honest: in no country in the world has Christian ministry ever survived without financial support from abroad. Even in the early church during Apostle Paul’s time, he raised funds during his missionary journeys to strengthen and grow the Church. That tradition has continued to this day.
Realizing this, Satan has decided that this missionary tradition must not continue in India. But praise be to God! When Satan closes doors, God opens new ones. That is our faith.
Please pray for this situation.
A new law has been introduced that criminalizes religious conversion through any form of persuasion in many states of India especially in our state Uttar Pradesh. This has emboldened religious extremists, who now openly search out Sunday worship gatherings and attack churches. Sunday services are being disrupted and stopped.
Shockingly, some Chief Ministers and Governors are supporting this law. Even those in power who are supposed to protect justice are provoking violence against Christians. If the fence itself begins to eat the crop, who will protect the field? This is the present condition of Christians in India.
Using this anti-conversion law as cover, anti-Christian mobs now invade churches, create violence, and harass believers. No one is stopping them. No one is condemning them. No one is speaking out against these atrocities.
They come in groups of ten or more and, even when peaceful worship is happening, they break church doors, shout slogans, beat people, and fill believers with fear and confusion. Instead of arresting the attackers, police are arresting pastors and believers.
This law is now being used in countless ways to carry out attacks on Christian ministries.
Just recently, in one Christian school, a student who hadn’t paid fees for six months was denied a transfer certificate. Enraged, the student’s father brought a Hindu fanatic mob with him and, the very next Sunday, destroyed the church while worship was going on. Using the anti-conversion law as an excuse, religious fanatics are carrying out a bloodthirsty campaign. And this is just one example.
Churches are being shut down. Worship is being disrupted in the middle of services. Believers are being attacked to instil fear. This has become a common occurrence now.
We humbly request you to please share this message with everyone you can. Now, more than ever, prayer is urgently needed.
This year alone, hundreds of such incidents have taken place. As per today’s reports, over 700 pastors and believers are in jail. 200 have been granted bail. Hundreds more are still suffering.
If the global church can understand this, then churches all around the world must begin to pray for India.
Support must be extended to the ministers who are in prison.
Please pray.
In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, giving baptism can lead to a 10-year jail sentence. Still, we are courageously continuing to baptize new believers without fear.
I am reminded of an illustration :
All of us are working as a team. Once, Pastor Mark Jappe shared a powerful illustration: a missionary ties one end of a rope around his waist and goes down into a deep well to rescue someone. The one who supports with finances is the one holding the other end of the rope—making sure the missionary doesn’t fall into the well.
You who support us are that person. By giving and holding that rope, you are saving the missionary, who in turn saves the people. You are saving us, and we are saving others. I have always loved this simple but profound example.
I am sharing our updates with you because you are part of our journey.

Jesus Mission Update:
• This week, government officials inspected and granted recognition to Jesus Mission School. This is the first milestone: permanent recognition for grades 1 to 5.
• The second milestone is to gain approval or recognition as they call here for grades 6 to 8.
• The third milestone is for grades 9 to 12.
• Now that we’ve received the first recognition, we must apply for the second. This could cost around $10,000.
Praise the Lord.
• School building construction is nearly complete. Currently, electrical fittings are being installed.
• A new school session has started.
• All the hostel children are doing well. They are praying for you.
• Our widows group sends their love to you.
• This week, we will be providing assistance to the widows.

How can you partner with us?
• We urgently need at least $5,000 per month to meet ongoing expenses. We still need some more monthly donors.
Please share about Jesus Mission with others. If we can climb this mountain together, a great burden will be lifted from our shoulders.
• Pray for us. Introduce us to others who may be able to help.
• For every single cent you send, we are deeply thankful.
May God richly bless you.
With gratitude,
Bala Sundaram.

Study and pray for Indian Persecution.
